Anyone that knows me, knows I am a huge sports geek at heart. I grew up playing ball, continued my passion for sports into college by majoring in Sports Management at Indiana State University (Yes, the one Larry Bird went too.) then life, which we all know works in mysterious ways, led me down the path of becoming a sports team mom and eventually a team owner.
While I have been going to Walt Disney World since I was a kid, it was being a team mom that really ramped up my Disney planning knowledge. It’s hard not to get a crash course in the nuances of Disney planning strategy when you are planning team trips every year for up to 30 people. It was this passion and knowledge for the Disney Parks which ultimately led me to taking over the MouseQuest and it’s been such an amazing time!
Recently, I have been knee deep in sports again (maybe because it’s baseball season and that’s my first love) and have noticed there are limited resources for busy team moms out there. Therefore, we have made the decision to switch gears and fill a void in the blog-o-sphere to help those overwhelmed moms out there and at the same time return to our first love which is sports. To that end: we will be sunsetting the MouseQuest and launching TeamMom365.com to help guide team moms on this crazy life journey.
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE DISNEY! That will never change. I will absolutely be bringing you a heaping helping of Disney and Entertainment content when the opportunity presents itself. I mean seriously, there is another new phase of Marvel Cinematic Universe movies coming and Disney is going through a historic period of expansion I fully plan to experience. However, we feel we can better contribute to our readers, who are mostly moms (sorry dads) by not regurgitating the same old planning tips everyone is already giving and focus on how to live the Team Mom life.
Being a Team Mom isn’t something that you can turn on or turn off. You are a Team Mom 365 days of the year. It’s a lifestyle! It’s cooking nutritious meals on the fly, it’s helping your child juggle the pressures of school vs. sports, it’s about finding ways to be a Mom first when your team mom duties are calling and it’s about making the most of the little time you have away from the sports field to enjoy the great things in life like traveling and entertainment.
We hope you will join us on this new journey! It’s going to be such a fun ride.
