Leaving a tip for your MouseKeeping staff, whether it is at Walt Disney World, Disneyland or on a Disney Cruise Line, is one of the kindest gestures you can do for the Cast Members that work so hard for you on a daily basis. Creating these envelopes can also be a fun way to ramp up the excitement for your upcoming Disney vacation.

One of the ways to make this task a snap is an easy-to-use graphics program called PicMonkey .

Here are the instructions to customize your own Mousekeeping Envelopes:

CREATING YOUR ENVELOPE

1. Go to PicMonkey .
2. From the menu on the top menu select DESIGN
3. On the side menu click on the BUTTERFLY
4. From the HEARTS menu click on the first heart
5. Click on the COLOR 1 box to choose the outline color
6. Click on the COLOR 2 box to choose the fill color
7. Using the cursor, hover over the circles at the corner of the shape until your cursor turns into a double ended arrow.
8. Pull on the corner to make the shape reach the size of the square
9. Using the cursor, hover over the rotate circle to flip the image upside down.

Now that you have the basic shape of the envelope you can start putting designs on them.

ADDING TEXT TO FLAP

1. On the side menu click the double T.
2. Click on the font you would like.
3. Select ADD TEXT
4. Place your cursor in the text box and type your message
5. Highlight the text to customize
6. Using the Text dialog box, you can do the following on the OPTIONS tab:
   • Change the color of the font
   • Change the font attribute (bold, italic)
   • Change the text justification
   • Change the font size

1. Using the EFFECTS tab, you can do some effects to the text:
2. Outlining and shadows
   1. Click the STYLE button
   2. Under Type select DROP SHADOW
   3. The shadow defaults to black, clicking on the COLOR button you can change the color
   4. Using the sliding buttons you can change the outline/shadow however you wish

1. Using the cursor, hover of the rotate circle to flip the text upside down.

ADDING TEXT TO FRONT OF ENVELOPE

1. On the side menu click the double T.
2. Click on the font you would like.
3. Select ADD TEXT
4. Place your cursor in the text box and type your message
5. Highlight the text to customize
6. Using the Text dialog box, you can do the following on the OPTIONS tab:
   • Change the color of the font
   • Change the font attribute (bold, italic)
   • Change the text justification
   • Change the font size
7. Using the EFFECTS tab, you can do some cool effects:
   1. Arcing
      1. Click on the CURVE button
      2. In the SHAPE dropdown menu select Arc or Circling, depending on what you want
      3. If you would like to change the curve you can slide the CURAVTURE button to your desired curve

 ADDING PICTURE

1. Click on the BUTTERFLY
2. Click ADD YOUR OWN
3. Click on MY COMPUTER
4. Browse to the location of the picture you want to put on envelope
5. Use the cursor to resize the picture to your desired size and move the picture to your desired location.

Note: To find a picture which doesn’t have a background you need to have a picture which is in .PNG format

SAVING PICTURE

When you have the design exactly how you would like it, you can save it to your computer to print.

1. Click on EXPORT
2. At this point you will be required to sign up for a 7-day free trial.
3. Name the file
4. Click SAVE
5. Browse to the location you would like to save to
6. Click SAVE

PRINTING & FOLDING PICTURE

1. Open your word processing program (ex. MicroSoft Word)
2. Click on the INSERT tab
3. Click on PICTURES
4. Browse to the location where you saved the file
5. Click INSERT
6. Resize the photo to fit on as much of the page as possible.
7. Click PRINT
8. Cut out the heart out
9. Fold as follows:

Now isn’t that easy? PicMonkey is a very user friendly program which can easily help you with any of your Disney-related (and even some of your non-Disney tasks. From Photo Editing, Touch Up, Design Tools and Collages PicMonkey is the best bet for even non-graphics designers like me.
