The highly acclaimed “Mary Poppins” is getting a sequel. Set to be released on December 25, 2018, “Mary Poppins Returns” will star Golden Globe Award winning actress Emily Blunt and Emmy, Grammy, Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner Lin-Manuel Miranda, who is currently starring in the smash Broadway hit “Hamilton”.

The story for the new installment will draw inspiration from P.L. Travers seven additional novels. It will follow adult Jane and Michael Banks who get a return visit from their magical nanny Mary Poppins after suffering a personal loss. With the aid of her friend, Jack (Miranda), a street lamplighter, she helps the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives.
