Guardians of the Galaxy was the first Marvel movie I saw but I didn’t realize it at the time. A bit of a confession: I didn’t come to Marvel movies because of the comics, I came to them because of the link to Disney. Therefore, I didn’t have any idea this was a Marvel movie when it was first publicized. I thought it was just another Disney movie.

In this offering from the Marvel Cinematic Universe a character from Captain America: The First Avenger surprises Steve when he returns. However, he is not the ally he once was.

Thor: The Dark World (2013)

Hundreds of year after defeating an evil race called the Dark Elves, Jane Foster find the Aether and becomes its host. Thor must then bring her to Asgard before Dark Elf Malekith captures her and uses the weapon to destroy the Nine Realms — including Earth.
Oh and by the way, CLIFFHANGER! Thank goodness the new Thor movie comes out next month.

Thor, son of Norse God Odin, is banished to Earth. While on Earth his brother Loki wreeks havoc on their home planet of Asgard. Thor must not only find his weapon on choice, he must also get back in the good graces of his father to help save Asgard.

This sequel takes place six months after Iron Man 1 and the secret is out. Now Tony Stark must decide what he wants to do with his technology with the military knocking at his door all while the clock is ticking on the device that is keeping him alive.
