WALT DISNEY WORLD PARKS NEWS
September 28 – Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will be hosting a Mickey’s New Year’s Eve Barbeque. (Link)
October 1 – Disney is introducing pre-portioned meal kits for sale at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. The prices will be $49 pre-tax, and includes ingredients enough to feed a family of four. (Link)
October 1 – Epcot marked their 35th anniversary with an in-park celebration. (Link)
October 1 – Stitch’s Great Escape, which has been a seasonal attraction, has become Stitch’s Alien Encounter meet-n-greet. (Link)
October 3 – Disney’s mobile ordering is expanding to several Magic Kingdom locations. Here is the current list of restaurants offering the service: Participating are Aloha Isle, Casey’s Corner, Columbia Harbour House, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, Lunching Pad, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Pinocchio Village Haus at Magic Kingdom; Electric Umbrella and Liberty Inn at Epcot; ABC Commissary, Backlot Express, Fairfax Fare, PizzeRizzo, and Rosie’s All-American Cafe at Disney’s Hollywood Studios; Flame Tree Barbecue, Harambe Market, Pizzafari, Restaurantosaurus and Satu’li Canteen at Animal Kingdom; and D-Luxe Burger at Disney Springs. October 3 – Soccer star Alex Morgan and friends were removed from Epcot after they became belligerent with Cast Members. (Link)

September 26 – shopDisney, a new ecommerce site, now offers merchandise from Disney, Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel with products including fashion, accessories, toys, home and more. Disney Store brick and mortar location are also getting a re-design at select locations to enhance storytelling and cast member interaction through innovative technology. (Link)
October 3 – The rumors of Disney buying Twitter last year were not that far off. Bob Iger confirmed that a Twitter purchase was considered. (Link)

October 4 – Disneyland has confirmed the Jungle Cruise attraction will not be receive the Jingle Cruise overlay this holiday season. (Link)

September 26 – Port Canaveral sustained approximately $2.9 million in damager from Hurricane Irma. (Link)
October 3 – The Disney Dream was damaged hitting pier in Nassau, Bahamas.

October 1 – D23 announced their line-up of events for 2018. Good news if you don’t need to be in Orlando or Anaheim to experience all the fun. There are events from New York City to Maceline, MO, to San Diego, CA. (Link)
DISNEY MOVIE/ENTERTAINMENT NEWS
September 22 – Mark Hamill might have accidentally let it slip that the new trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released October 9. Disney has now confirmed that it will air during Monday night football. (Link)
September 28 – Hocus Pocus appears to be getting a Disney Channel movie remake. Gotta say, I am not sure about this one. Hocus Pocus is such a classic. (Link)
September 29 – In more Disney Channel news, Freaky Friday is getting a reboot. No premiere date has been announced. (Link)
October 1 – Wheel of Fortune will tape three weeks of shows at Epcot on the stage between World Showcase and Future World on October 10th, 11th and 12th. The shows will air the weeks of November 13th, February 12th and April 30th. No tickets are available for the tapings. (Link)
October 3 – Pirates of the Caribbean director Joachim Ronning has reportedly been tapped to direct Maleficient 2. (Link)
