Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 1 (2014)
Week 10 – October 30, 2017
Synopsis
Guardians of the Galaxy was the first Marvel movie I saw but I didn’t realize it at the time. A bit of a confession: I didn’t come to Marvel movies because of the comics, I came to them because of the link to Disney. Therefore, I didn’t have any idea this was a Marvel movie when it was first publicized. I thought it was just another Disney movie.
I am not normally being a fan of sci-fi/action movies but I really loved this movie. It’s the story of Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, played by Chris Pratt, and his rag-tag band of extraterrestrial oddballs who are on the run after stealing powerful orb. In my humble opinion, this is one of the most fun movies in the Marvel Universe. And another added bonus is that this movie has the best soundtrack EVER! Full of songs from the 70’s, you will be dancing along with the movie like you never have before.
